When I draw, things don’t always turn out the way I envisioned.
The image I envisioned and the actual image I draw are different, so I start to worry.
As a result, the time I spend drawing gradually increases.
To express what I want to say, I write it down in a notebook.
Once I’ve decided on how to draw,
what to draw,
the theme,
how to express it,
what method to use,
what message to convey,
I decide in advance and begin drawing according to that theme.
Even so,
while drawing,
something different from what I envisioned happens, so I revise, revise,
and repeat this process.
With this repetition,
before I know it,
I’m expressing what I had in mind,
what I want to say.
Through these processes, a single painting emerges.
